It's Cinco de Mayo
I'm sharing my five favorite adults only all inclusive resorts in Mexico.
Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in the United States and Puebla, Mexico. It commemorates the Victory of Mexico’s forces over the Second French Empire in the Battle of Puebla in 1862.
I’ll be celebrating especially since it falls on Taco Tuesday. First, I thought I’d share my five favorite adults only all inclusive resorts.
Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos - My favorite moment at this resort was relaxing by watching the sunset from the gorgeous patio overlooking the resort with the fire place going. A saxophone player played in the background.
This resort is great for foodies, luxury seekers, and spa lovers. Le Blanc Cabo has a chill vibe. This resort is not a good fit if you are beach lover. The ocean here has dangerous currents so you can’t go in the water. If you love an active pool scene or a late night at the disco, this resort also won’t work for you.
Hyatt Zilara Cancun - I chose this resort as the location of my 40th birthday trip. The video linked here was before the most recent renovation. I can’t wait to get back to Hyatt Zilara Cancun this summer to get an update. My favorite moment here is the swim up pool. It has an infinity edge over the beach.
This resort is great if you enjoy a fun swim up bar. We also really like the dining. This resort is not a good choice if you like water sports. The ocean here is often red flagged for dangerous conditions. No kayaks. No paddle boards. No snorkeling. I personally like that it’s a high rise to get those gorgeous ocean views. If you prefer more vegetation, you’ll like the sprawling campuses further south in Riviera Maya.
Secrets Maroma - What stood out to me about this resort was all the activities. We played bingo in the pool, painted in the garden, and fake gambled at the casino night.
This resort is great for beach lovers. Maroma beach is one of the best in the area. It’s also a great location if you want to take excursions. One thing I don’t like about the resort is the ocean view rooms. You really can’t see the ocean from them. It’s one of those if you squat down and look over the building you may see a sliver of blue.
El Dorado Royale Casitas - My favorite moment from this resort was swimming to the swim bar from our room. I love how the casitas have separate sections with their own swim up bar. We’d have a late room service breakfast, enjoy our private pool and patio, and then swim over to the swim up bar.
This is great resort is want lush vegetation. The resort is huge with a turtle nesting program, cenote, and horse back riding. The resort is a colonial style that some people may find outdated. It’s also not a good fit for beach lovers. The beach is heavily eroded.
Live Aqua Cancun I love the Italian and Asian restaurants and ocean views here. I also love the beachfront bar. The rooms are modern. The spa is great. This resort is also in the hotel zone so water sports are limited. This is not a good fit if you love a big swim up bar. The swim up bar is located in the back corner.
