Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana are both adults only all inclusive resorts with exchange privileges to the family all inclusive Hyatt Ziva resorts next door.
What are the differences between Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana?
First, the resorts have several things in common:
Great gyms
Great dining
Premium alcohol
Swim up bars
Close to the airport
Location: Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall is close to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is near Punta Cana, Dominican Republic inside a gated community.
Beach: Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall has small cove beaches. Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana has a larger, wider beach. As with all beaches in the Caribbean, both can get seaweed in the summer months.
Pools: Pools are very similar with swim up bars, ability to order food to your chair, and pool activities. The Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana swim up bar has an infinity edge that overlooks the ocean.
Will I see kids? aka How much is shared with the family side?
Dining: At Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, the majority of restaurants are on the family side. Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall only has two restaurants plus a grill. At Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, you can easily eat all your meals in an adults only setting. Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana has six restaurants.
Evening Entertainment: I was very impressed that Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall had its own nightly shows. At Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, the evening show and sports bar are shared with the family side.
Spa: Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana has an incredible spa shared with the family side. Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall has a small open air spa, but they have incredible overwater spa cabanas. The larger spa is on the Hyatt Ziva side.
Club Level: Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall does not have Club Level. At Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana’s Club Level, you get exclusive access to an a la carte breakfast and lunch. You also get exclusive access to a swim up bar and pool, and beach area just for Club guests. Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana also has a Club Level Lounge.

Which resort looks best to you?
Personally, I’d pick Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana. I like that Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana has a Club Level and enough adults only restaurants for a longer stay.
Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall feels like an adults only section of a family resort versus a stand alone adults only all inclusive resort. I think this makes it a great option if you are traveling with other families that have kids.
If I stayed at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, I would definitely miss the jerk chicken and fun Jamaica vibe from Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall.
